Georgina is a food industry professional with over 20 years’ experience in a number of disciplines including Product Development, Supply Chain Strategy and Product Labelling/ Regulatory Compliance. She has worked for both major international companies such as Mondelez (Kraft & Cadbury) and local manufacturers. Georgina is formally qualified with an Honours degree in Food Science from RMIT and has extensive Project Management expertise gained first hand in the industry. 
 
In her previous role, based in the US for Mondelez, Georgina was responsible for a large team of R&D professionals and implemented multiple global and regional projects. She is equally capable of delivering new products or optimising existing product ranges and manufacturing strategies. She has a depth of experience in the gum, candy and medicated lozenge categories, but is comfortable across all FMCG categories. A key feature of Georgina’s career has been her ability to move between functions and understand the competing interests involved in complex projects. Her ability to find the common ground between marketing, sales, R&D and operations have been key to the successful delivery of many projects. 

Now based in Melbourne, Georgina’s intellect, experience and perspective make her a valuable asset for companies that are looking for external assistance to drive a complex program to fruition. 

Georgina's specific capabilities include:
  • Detailed knowledge of confectionery manufacturing processes, ingredients, and formulations. 
  • Detailed knowledge of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code and The National Trade Measurement Regulations.
  • Extensive experience in formula optimization for quality improvement and/or cost optimization.
  • Extensive experience in managing new product development. 
  • Experience managing ingredient and product specification databases
